Sunday Song - Indescribable

Image
Today at The Craft Group we listened to/watched a song on the new BIG TV in the room. It was my turn to share a "thought for the day". Our new series of topics is "Say it with Music". Here is Chris Tomlin singing "Indescribable" Pick your version. The first on has beautiful images that fit in so well with the song. The second version is Chris Tomlin singing it live. God shows Himself to us through His son, Jesus who we read about in the Bible. God shows Himself to us through His amazing creation which we see all around us.  It's indescribable!

I love a good flashmob

OK, so "flashmobs" are becoming a bit too common and that has taken the 'wow' out of them a bit (especially when my local grocery store did one as an advertising stunt with 'staff' suddenly burst into song! That was weird). Anyway, I just came across another one which was done in Copenhagen in May this year. It combines my love of spontaneity, music and Europe. Enjoy... and have a great weekend!

Sunday Song - What Faith can do by Kutless

You can hear today's song by  clicking here . This is a particularly touching song if you are going thru a tough time. It talks about what faith can do, but it is talking about what happens when that faith is in Jesus. We follow a powerful God. Matthew 17:20 He replied, “Because you have so little   faith . Truly I tell you, if you have   faith   as small as a   mustard   seed , you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” I love this verse which is also very encouraging. Isaiah 40:31 31  but those who hope in the LORD     will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles;    they will run and not grow weary,    they will walk and not be faint. Have a lovely and restful Sunday!

Sunday Song - Yahweh

Image
Busy? Take a moment to soak up this song and praise your maker :) 'Yahweh' is the first name the Hebrew people in the Bible ever called God. The song is by Tal and Acacia  and this weeks song was chosen for you by my eldest son, Jacob. He heard Corey chose my song a few weeks ago, so to be fair, here is Jacob's choice of artist. You can tell which son is a drummer and which one is a bass guitarist. Have a restful Sunday.

Sunday Song - Frontline by Pillar

Image
Today's Sunday song was chosen by my 16 year old son, Corey. He said he'd find me a good song and I asked the questions one would expect a mum to ask... Can you understand the words? Is it screaming head banging noise? Is it saying anything worthwhile? The grin on his face made me suspicious. I'm pleased to say that it is a worthwhile song and he was surprised that I liked it. Listen if you are game (or let your teenager listen for you!). The words talk about life being on the 'frontline'. Young Christians walking together in life, encouraging each other, not regretting things done in the past but looking forward, knowing that when they go through the 'valley of the shadow of death', they will not be alone but will have God by their side. Then their God will hand them a crown and say "well done".  That is from the Bible. It's good to see people of all ages can understand God's gift of Eternal life! Corey wants to know what ...

Sunday Song - Jesus Loves Me.

Image
You are loved way more than you realise! Jesus Loves You and it's not just a cliche. How do I know this for sure? Well the Bible tells me so.  Watch this incredible 7 year old sing about it. I love her expressions, especially when she gets an itchy eye. Watch the whole thing. She really builds it up. What talent! Have a restful Sunday.
