Drawings on a quilt by Bev

Bev searched and experimented for the best way to transfer drawings onto fabric. In the end, she lightly spray glued her fabric onto paper to make it flat and stiff and then put it straight through her computer printer which acts as a photocopier.

She made this quilt for her son, which she named the "Lots of Love" quilt.
She used a collection of drawings her son did as he was growing up. She wrote his age or year of school on the drawings to remember how old he was at the time of artistic creation.
(Sorry for poor quality photo!)

What a great idea! She warns to beware of clogging up a good photocopier. Try it on a home machine and test it for colour fastness before sewing it into your project.

What a lovely keepsake.
