About Me

My photo
With the help of my friends, I co-ordinate "The Craft Group" which is a place for women to gather and do craft! We share a whole range of things, from craft to the small things that matter to us right up to understanding the whole meaning of life! I learn so much from everyone, I thought a blog would be the perfect way to record the memories! The "Plus..." is all about extra bits 'n pieces that I have found and would love to show you. Welcome to our Craft Group. Please feel free to say hi, leave a comment or become a follower! Enjoy!

Carolyn's quilts continued

Another amazing quilt by Carolyn H. She is doing a series which I can't tell you about in case the 21 year olds who will be receiving them will be reading this. (Have I said too much?)
Brilliant quilt....again!

Crocheted hand towel

Get one hand towel.
 Fold it in half.
Do one row of blanket stitch along the fold.
Now, pretend to be Joan O from "The Craft Group" and crochet a band which narrows to form a loop.
Find a button in your button jar and sew it on.
Now be pleased with yourself.
(Nice colour combo!)

An upcoming reveal!

How exciting is a new baby!
We get to see little Baby Trinity now at The Craft Group when she comes with her Mum, Nadia.
And soon... Lydia's baby is going to come and say hello.
We are so excited for her and Simon.

ALL babies are an exciting miracle from God.
But when you had to wait 10 years for the little one to become a reality,  there is definitely an extra buzz!

Can't wait to meet you Little One in the next few weeks!

My good excuse

My blog has been very neglected, I know.
I have an excuse and here she is...

Gina and her husband come to stay with us for 3 weeks. She is my cousin from The Netherlands and I would just like to say that she lives too far away! So when we get together, everything else has to be put on hold while we make the most of our time together. We had a great time. She came along to The Craft Group with me one morning and now she can picture what I do every Thursday morning.
It was really nice to share my life with her (as well as the crazy Aussie sun, heat, rain and floods!)

(She is the tanned one on the right! The Europeans have a very different attitude towards the sun than we do!)

So, life is back to normal for me and I am trying not to be envious of her as she enjoys a week with her husband in a Bali Resort.    *sigh*
