Wendy's circles of Joy!

I love love love whites and brights in crochet. 
Wendy started and finished this gorgeous crocheted rug a while ago but we just haven't shown it off here yet!
It's modern and it's oozing quality in both skill and in materials.  Wendy made it using quality 100% cotton. She thinks the end result is a bit heavy but I love the weight of it - very comforting.

    I love it! Judah's favourite thing in the world (besides cars, keys, bikes and sausages) is his blankie!! Beautifully crocheted by my friend. It's a gorgeous circle blanket in greens and greys!! He LOVES it!!

These cute little Christmas stockings were made by Mandy. There was no real pattern to follow so we worked it out easily enough by sharing crochet know how and made little stocking decorations until they were everywhere. Wil and Bev G made a heap! Lantern making... a craft for kids

The school holidays are nearly over. Some kids have one more week. Why not get creative and make some pretty lanterns to hang in your bedroom? (Caitlin and Ryan... if you make one and take a photo, I'll put it on the blog!) A project a day! I have so many photos of lovely things which have not yet appeared here on the blog. So, I am featuring a new craft item every day for 2 weeks, all made by ladies at The Craft Group. To continue… Project 5: Mitred Granny Squares by Janice Crocheted Granny Squares are in again and, as with all come-backs, there are clever variations. These mitred* squares are eye catching and can look stunning depending on the colours used. Janice made this green one which has a lovely 3D effect made by her use of various tones of graduating greens. It looks stunning in a whole finished rug. (*also spelt 'Mitered', depending on where you live).  Janice is then working on some other squares using bright coloured stripes, giving the finished product a completely different look.
