Sunday Song - Indescribable

Image
Today at The Craft Group we listened to/watched a song on the new BIG TV in the room. It was my turn to share a "thought for the day". Our new series of topics is "Say it with Music". Here is Chris Tomlin singing "Indescribable" Pick your version. The first on has beautiful images that fit in so well with the song. The second version is Chris Tomlin singing it live. God shows Himself to us through His son, Jesus who we read about in the Bible. God shows Himself to us through His amazing creation which we see all around us.  It's indescribable!

Julianne's 40th Anniversary album

Image
A good scrapbook album… completed... is a wonderful thing. Julianne said it took a few years but her album is a lovely collection of memories of her wedding day and then a few main anniversaries… the latest big one being her 40th. The front cover. Groovy, Julianne. I love it! Lovely dress for a winter wedding. Love the embellishments!  Julianne and John… Happy 44th wedding Anniversary, which, using my highly advanced detective skills and mathematical calculations, I am predicting is coming up next month! Lovely album. You haven't changed a bit!

Eye Spy quilt by Bev I

Image
Bev I has plenty of little people visiting her at home so she has a play room. She made this gorgeous quilt for the playroom. It's warm. It's colourful. It's a game of "Eye Spy". I love it. Can you see the red airplane? Can you see the yellow cat? Can you see Granny I's love that has gone into this quilt? Can you see the pink square on the back? Can you see why I love this quilt so much? You can also see Bev's Eye Spy baby clutch ball HERE .

Handmade Card inspiration from Georgina

Image
Here are some lovely cards to inspire you by the very clever Georgina. Notice the purple spotty ribbon woven through the die cut white backing card? Nice! I really love this one. Sorry, you have to view this one through the cellophane. This is my favourite. Georgina said she had the black paper in the background and didn't know how to use it. I love the monochrome look. Very classy. Thanks for the ideas Georgina, you have a lovely style.

Back to Craft!

After a long Summer break, The Craft Group is on again. We had a lovely morning tea for everyone to enjoy while they enrol. There was some crafty inspiration… (I'll show you Elly's wreaths in another post soon) We had coffee, tea, yummy treats and little gifts. Always little gifts! Here is this year's "WELCOME" gift. A snap lock bag containing... A welcome message, A little bag of seed raising mix soil. 25grams to be precise! A little Christian message card, a paddle pop stick saying "Bizzie Lizzie" and a little packet of seeds*. On the back of the welcome note is a list of the dates for The Craft Group this year and a poem which I will share below. When Mum has to get something ready for The Craft Group, the family is usually involved. Annalee is happy to help packaging up the gifts while watching a DVD on her laptop. Note… One ear peeping out of the ear phones because I kept saying things, even ...

10 Reasons to come to Jesus

A project a day! Well, this is the final day sharing with you for 14 days straight a project that has come from The Craft Group! Being Sunday, I thought I'd share something with a bit more of an eternal perspective! (I know, that's big!)  Every morning we have a short "Thought from the Bible" while we enjoy our morning tea. Each term we have a different theme. One term a little while ago we looked each week at a different reason to follow Jesus. Some people may say this is a personal thing and it is. It is between you and God. But God has not just left it up to us to guess what Jesus is like and guess why we should know Him. The Bible is full of lovely encouraging reasons why knowing Jesus personally is a very real, wonderful and life saving thing! For our talks, we looked at one line each week from this devotional excerpt by Roy Lessin. Project 14: 10 Reasons to come to Jesus Click HERE to read what the Bible says they are.
