About Me

My photo
With the help of my friends, I co-ordinate "The Craft Group" which is a place for women to gather and do craft! We share a whole range of things, from craft to the small things that matter to us right up to understanding the whole meaning of life! I learn so much from everyone, I thought a blog would be the perfect way to record the memories! The "Plus..." is all about extra bits 'n pieces that I have found and would love to show you. Welcome to our Craft Group. Please feel free to say hi, leave a comment or become a follower! Enjoy!

Back to Craft!

After a long Summer break, The Craft Group is on again.

We had a lovely morning tea for everyone to enjoy while they enrol.
There was some crafty inspiration… (I'll show you Elly's wreaths in another post soon)

We had coffee, tea, yummy treats and little gifts.
Always little gifts!
Here is this year's "WELCOME" gift.
A snap lock bag containing...

A welcome message,

A little bag of seed raising mix soil. 25grams to be precise!

A little Christian message card, a paddle pop stick saying "Bizzie Lizzie" and a little packet of seeds*.

On the back of the welcome note is a list of the dates for The Craft Group this year and a poem which I will share below.

When Mum has to get something ready for The Craft Group, the family is usually involved. Annalee is happy to help packaging up the gifts while watching a DVD on her laptop.

Note… One ear peeping out of the ear phones because I kept saying things, even though I was trying to be quiet, not wanting to disturb my lovely helper!

Back to the gift… I said that if anyone manages to grow their little 'Bizzie Lizzie' seeds and takes a photo of them, they can have one term of The Craft Group half price!

There were many keen green thumbs after I said that!

Here is the link to the seed packet and the poem contained within the pack…

I reduced and printed out the seed packet template from the Yvestown blog here.

and here is the cute poem…

***Poem*** Plant three rows of peas:
Peace of mind Peace of heart Peace of soul
Plant four rows of squash: Squash gossip
Squash indifference Squash grumbling

Squash selfishness
Plant four rows of lettuce: Lettuce be faithful
Lettuce be kind
Lettuce be obedient
Lettuce really love one another

No garden should be without turnips:
Turnip for meetings
Turnip for service

Turnip to help one another
Water freely with patience and cultivate love
There is much fruit for your garden Because you reap what you sow.
To conclude our garden We must have thyme: Thyme for God
Thyme for study Thyme for prayer Thyme for each other Thyme for friends
