Comments?

Hi dear blog readers,

hello?

The other day my daughter had a big chat with her Oma on the phone and then after a while she realised the line was disconnected and Oma didn't hear a word of it.
Now that felt a bit silly didn't it?

I confess I am feeling like that about the blog.
I do love blogging but, boo hoo, I rarely ever get any comments. (or many followers)

There could be many reasons for this...

a) No one reads my blog.
b) A few people read it but it's not that exciting to comment about.
c) People who are reading my blog are in cold, unheated houses and are wearing mittens and so it is hard for them to type a response.
d) People by the thousands are trying to leave a comment but there is something wrong with the blog settings and it is not working.
e) Everyone is playing Hide 'n Seek and I'm 'in' and you are all hiding.
f) You are all teaching me a lesson that I should not blog for the feedback but for the pure enjoyment.
g) All of the above.

Any ideas? Should I be embarrassed to be asking for feedback? A good and inspiring blogger NEVER begs for feedback! Eek!

  1. Hi - I am a silent (but faithful) blog reader. I live in Cooma (oops just gave away who I am!)and I do enjoy reading your blog, and secretly getting ideas for my "things to do" one day list. It also keeps me up to date on what your craft group is doing, which IS interesting. Don't worry about the comments - you are doing a good job, and I am listening (that refers to the telephone line not being broken!) Keep it up. :)

    1. Yay! I Love you sister! As the first person to comment on this post YOU HAVE WON a free Country Style magazine. Yahooooooo! It's the April edition which has an article about Cooma in it. I'll even throw in the latest edition as well. Wow I bet no one realised there was going to be a prize for the first person to comment!!! ;)

    3. Oops, yes I gave it away that she is my sister. No need to be jealous, I don't think I have even given the magazines to her yet, nearly 2 months later! Family often gets the raw deal! :)

  2. :) I try to comment as often as possible! :) And love seeing what you're up to!
I love your posts about the Craft Group but also love seeing you post the little things you find on Pinterest and around the web. I think that's all good to help you gain a larger readership! :)
It's definitely a nice feeling to get comments and feel the love from your readers. If you want some extra blogging tips I'd love to help! :) Email me :) PS. Your tabs at the top look great! Are they new? Take care x

  3. Hi Bek, yes, you are a faithful commenter. I am going to start a list of blog questions to ask you and we'll chat soon! I've had the tabs a while. Need to update their content! I am a bit like a Gen Y blogger (in attitude, not in age) who wants to have results but really doesn't want to spend hours on it every day! ;)

  10. Hallo Diana, I read your blog and like it very much. A few weeks ago I came by chance on your blog and I put it under Favourites. I should like to comment but I am from Rotterdam in the Netherlands and my English in writing is rather poor. However, I comment to-day to give you a feather on your hat and please continue your blog. I like it and read it.(reading is easier for me, I read also books in English.
So, dear Diana, keep up the good work.
    Love, Rya Lucas
