A Self Interview by Bronwyn

At The Craft Group we stop half way through the morning and have a "Thought for the day" or  a "Thought from the Bible". The topics are many and varied. One ideas is that we give a person a list of questions and they have to interview themselves! Sounds strange but it's a really nice way to get to know someone better and find out about a few of the things that make them tick. The challenge is that they have to try and answer them all in a total of 4 minutes!

These are the questions we give people in their "Self Interview".
1) What is your full name?
2) What house have you lived in for the longest?
3) Is there anything you are scared of?
4) If you had to sit alone, waiting in an airport for 5 hours, what would you like to have with you?
5) What unfinished craft projects do you have at home at the moment?
6) What do you think is the best thing about being a Christian?
7) Could you share a favourite Bible verse you may have?

Today Bronwyn interviewed herself. If you click here on "Read More", you can see her answers.

1) What is your full name?
Bronwyn xxxxx
2) What house have you lived in for the longest?
I was born and bred in the house I now live in. I moved away when I was married and started my own family and then, years later, moved with my family back into my first home to care for my elderly mother.
3) Is there anything you are scared of?
I feel rather claustrophobic in tunnels that go under the water, like the Sydney Harbour Tunnel.
4) If you had to sit alone, waiting in an airport for 5 hours, what would you like to have with you?
I would like power (as in electricity) for my sewing machine and computer! Also, some coffee, my ipod, and letter writing equipment. Then in between all that I'd go for walks and do some window shopping. (I don't think 5 hours would be enough time!)
5) What unfinished craft projects do you have at home at the moment?
It doesn't bear thinking about! I have some that I intend finishing off and others that I am not likely to. I am great at coming up with ideas and love a challenge but when the challenge is over, I run out of steam.
6) What do you think is the best thing about being a Christian?
Experiencing God's Grace. Having 'family' all around the world. If I sit with a big group of quilting ladies, we have our love of quilting in common, but that is so temporary. When I am with Christians, we have our relationship with God in common which is something that will last forever.
7) Could you share a favourite Bible verse you may have?
Romans 8:1-2 which talks about how we are not good enough for God but because of what Jesus has done for me, I will not be condemned by God.
"Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death."

  1. Thanks Diana I think you brought this together well from my notes (such as they were) I think if I wrote a book it would have to be dictated and I choose you as my scribe.
