About Me

My photo
With the help of my friends, I co-ordinate "The Craft Group" which is a place for women to gather and do craft! We share a whole range of things, from craft to the small things that matter to us right up to understanding the whole meaning of life! I learn so much from everyone, I thought a blog would be the perfect way to record the memories! The "Plus..." is all about extra bits 'n pieces that I have found and would love to show you. Welcome to our Craft Group. Please feel free to say hi, leave a comment or become a follower! Enjoy!

Seminole Quilting - Elaine & Lorraine

Elaine, our quilting teacher manages to come up with project after project for the Quilting Corner of The Craft Group.  Sometimes everyone takes on the challenge (like when we did the Friendship Round Robin quilts) but sometimes just a few take on a new project. It all depends at what stage ladies are up to on their loooong term projects. This year Elaine introduced the group to Seminole Quilting. You can read about the history of this style of piecing by clicking here.

These are 2 samples from Elaine. They make great hand towel boarders.

Here is Lorraine's Seminole patchwork strip.

Nice work ladies.
