Here is Shirley's football team.
They couldn't decide on the colour of the team but the vivid colours might put the other team off!

Her husband Don said this is the final photo before they all ended up in hospital.
No, seriously, they did all go to hospital!
Shirley makes Trauma Teddies for The Red Cross who passes them on to children in hospital or to children who have gone through some trauma. She has made bear after bear which have all gone on to bring comfort to children who I'm sure have benefitted greatly from having somethingone to hug and love. She makes them according to The Red Cross's strict specifications which includes a certain type of face so the kids don't get scared by skewiff expressions! :) Shirley's bears are very friendly looking. (I think Don gets a bit attached to them!)

These cute little Christmas stockings were made by Mandy. There was no real pattern to follow so we worked it out easily enough by sharing crochet know how and made little stocking decorations until they were everywhere. Wil and Bev G made a heap! Lantern making... a craft for kids

The school holidays are nearly over. Some kids have one more week. Why not get creative and make some pretty lanterns to hang in your bedroom? (Caitlin and Ryan... if you make one and take a photo, I'll put it on the blog!) A teacher at school made these with her grade 3 class.  I was the photographer, so I captured the pictorial step-by-step instructions.

A project a day! I have so many photos of lovely things which have not yet appeared here on the blog. So, I am featuring a new craft item every day for 2 weeks, all made by ladies at The Craft Group. To continue… Project 5: Mitred Granny Squares by Janice Crocheted Granny Squares are in again and, as with all come-backs, there are clever variations. These mitred* squares are eye catching and can look stunning depending on the colours used. Janice made this green one which has a lovely 3D effect made by her use of various tones of graduating greens. It looks stunning in a whole finished rug. (*also spelt 'Mitered', depending on where you live).  Janice is then working on some other squares using bright coloured stripes, giving the finished product a completely different look.
